Small Business Storytelling

Small businesses aren't simply the foundation of our country, they're an extension of ourselves.

From artists and creatives to restaurant owners, lawn care companies to the neighborhood dry cleaner -- we infuse our hearts, souls, and countless hours into these places of business that can feel like a second home.

We know. We're a small business, too.

One way that you can share your passion with clients and customers is through stunning imagery that tells the story of this idea that you made a reality. Through well-executed photos of your products or creations, business processes, events or service offerings, and even your storefront or sales event, you provide the community with a look into who you are and what you share with your neighbors.

With images that tell the story of your business, you're able to connect with customers through e-commerce, print materials, and expand your reach into the surrounding area. Marketing and outreach utilize visual concepts, which means that having great photography of your work can help create the framework to tell your business's story.

We're here to help you tell it.

Our photography process for small business storytelling in Richmond, Virginia

Step 1 - Small Business Storytelling

We'll meet with you via phone, Skype, or in person at the location of your choice to discuss all the details of your small business, its unique identity, and how we can best tell its story through images.

Step 2 - Small Business Storytelling

Depending on the project length and scope, we'll meet with you multiple times to ensure we capture your brand identity perfectly and spend time with your products, experiencing your service, or at your brick and mortar location.

Step 3 - Small Business Storytelling

We do offer photographic coverage in multiple locations and at different times based on your needs. For instance, capturing a special event your small business is hosting alongside high-quality product photography. We can work with you to ensure that we cover all the many parts that make your venture whole.

Step 4 - Small Business Storytelling

We take the time to get to know you and your needs, creating a report that makes working together feel easy.

It's the day we've been planning for! Your photographer will arrive 15-30 minutes before the agreed-upon time for set-up purposes. We'll be looking for you or another designated person to check in with.

If we're photographing products or wares for you, please have them set aside and ready. If we're shooting an event -- for example, a class or perhaps a reading — we'll stay in the background and work to not interfere with the flow.

You can always interrupt us with questions, concerns, and new ideas during a photoshoot. We want this work to be collaborative!
